ABOUT ALOKA

The high-performance, ALOKA ProSound SSD-3500 utilizes advanced ProSound technologies including:

Fully digital beam former
A wide dynamic range, 12-bit A/D converter
Multi beam processing.

The SSD-3500 also helps you achieve more efficient examinations. Its ergonomic, user-friendly design enables you to customize the system according to your specific application needs

The ProSound SSD-4000 utilizes the most advanced acoustic technologies available today, and its multidisciplinary technology architecture enables it to offer great versatility and flexibility over a wide range of clinical applications.

The SSD-4000 utilizes newly developed Wide-band Super High-Density (W-SHD) transducers optimized for digital imaging.

The system also employs a Pure Harmonic Detection (PureHD) feature to create exceptionally clear images—artifact free and with a higher signal-to-noise ratio.

The Aloka ProSound SSD-5500SV provides multi-specialty solutions and features Extended Pure Harmonic Detection (ePHD) and Hemispheric Sound Technology (HST) transducers, to extend horizons in diagnostic ultrasound imaging.

The SSD5500SV also incorporates Innovative HST (Hemispheric Sound Technology) probes incorporate an array of transducer elements, which create sound sources close to an ideal hemispheric shape. HST probes offer less grating lobe artefacts and less side lobe artefacts, which can lead clinicians to more confident diagnoses.

Features of the ProSound Series

  • Quint Frequency Imaging allows user selectable transmission frequencies (up to five) for grayscale imaging and Doppler

  • Tissue Harmonic Echo (THE) The ProSound series utilize second harmonics, which include much less side lobe artifact and noise, and provides improved tissue differentiation with increased contrast resolution. This also helps imaging of difficult-to-examine patients such as the aged and the obese

  • Digital Processing/PixelFocus™ A 100% digital processing technique that allows focus down to the pixel level to provide for very high quality spatial resolution for improved visualization of clinical detail

  • An integrated DICOM-compatible image management provided by Aloka's Data Management Subsystem (iDMS) that includes DICOM work-list capability

  • Dual Dynamic Display (DDD) simultaneously displays two B-mode images (with and without color flow) to easily show the relationship between the morphological information and the blood flow of the region of interest.

  • Multi Beam Processing offers exceptionally high frame rates for optimal performance in studies requiring dynamic imaging of patient morphology

  • A 12-bit A/D converter helps you achieve high-quality images with the broadest dynamic range possible and a remarkably enhanced contrast resolution

  • Real-time Free Angular M-Mode technology provides superior imaging regardless of positioning. It makes the exam fast and accurate, while providing exceptional image quality

  • Color Doppler. With wide dynamic range, ColorFlow, PowerFlow, and Tissue Doppler Imaging, it provides outstanding analysis of blood flow morphology

  • Frame rates in excess of 500 frames/second, of significant value in fetal cardiology

  • Modern ergonomic design with high mobility and small footprint

  • RT-3D option providing real-time 3D images of the fetus, multi-planar reconstruction and measurement capability
